What is Microwave Oven Radiation Whenever a microwave oven is turned on, a High Frequency Radio wave emission is produced which causes the water molecules in the food to vibrate rapidly. This rapid vibration produces heat within the food, which in turn, cooks the food.

A Physical Damage Inspection to ensure correct functioning and safety compliance to Australian Standards.
A Power Output Inspection which measures the wattage of the oven to ensure that the electrical flow and magnetron of the unit are operating at respectable levels as per Standard requirements.
A Radiation Leakage Inspection involving the measurement of radiation levels around the oven with a microwave specific meter. Upon completion of testing, a certification label (indicating radiation and power levels) will be place on the front of the oven.
A certification tag and barcode tag will be placed on the power lead and a detailed inspection report will be provided.
